Trying desperately to get Band in a Box working
 

Hello,

Could someone please help me get Band in a Box working in Linux? My wife is a musician and she's driving me nuts with this! I've reconfigured my kernel to have total preemption and set a resolution of 1000, so I no longer have error messages telling me that there is no midi device, but when I try to open a sound file there is no sound. I know WiaB can work in Linux as someone on this forum managed a few months ago http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...=band+in+a+box but unfortunately I don't understand the solution.

Any help will be really appreciated

That thread mentions three URI's with instructions / information and loading the snd-virmidi kernel module. I'd suggest you follow instructions and when you can't figure out a step ask for specific help, or if you're not a novice list (detailed) the steps you took and then ask detailed questions. Just saying "I don't understand" is too vague for anyone to give a correct answer to IMHO.
