Truecrypt 4.3 -- new kernel

Hi,
I've got a very inconvienient problem...
I installed and configured Truecrypt ages ago. Some days ago I made a "aptitude dist-upgrade", which brought me a new kernel. Now, using the new kernel, my password is not accepted.
Unfortunately I have to enter the password before the X-Server starts, so I cannot post error-messages here.
Fortunately, there is still the old kernel, so I can work at my PC. Do you see a way to fix my problem? I could remove the demand for password at every reboot, but this would be too complex now (I'll do this for sure, if other stuff fails).

There is defenitivly no problem in keyboard layout or typing mistakes.

sincercly

Maybe the Truecrypt kernel module wasn't loaded. If it's not a stock kernel and there are no stock packages then it could need recompiling.

Truecrypt went thru some major format changes recently in the Linux version. So much so that I stopped using it. You might need to un-secret your data, update to the newest TC built against your updated system, then re-encrypt your data.

Successfully built Truecrypt 4.3a using patches from here:
http://sources.gentoo.org/viewcvs.py...uecrypt/files/

I'm running kernel 2.6.24.5 (Slackware 12.1).
So I had to apply the "truecrypt-4.3a-2.6.23.patch"
and the "truecrypt-4.3a-2.6.24.patch".

Seems to be working fine...
so far.
