Trouble with Kate (editor)


Before I was able to open the Kate Editor, the next day when I turn it the PC on the Kate editor did not come up, below id the ERROR:

What could be the problem?

What, if anything, did you change? New kernel? Added or removed any packages? Added or removed any modules? Are you running RH or Slack? If all else fails, try reinstalling kate.

Thanks I added just a Free Pascal, I think that could be the reason, Im running Slackware 9.0, What do you think that is the problem?, What I need to do?

To be perfectly honest, I don't know. I was just going on the logic that if it worked before but doesn't work now, then something must have changed. All I can suggest is try to reinstall kate maybe remove free pascal and see if that works. Try a few things just to isolate the problem. The error message does mention libc and libqt-mt so maybe checking the dependencies of free pascal and/or kate to see if they involve the above two libraries. Possibly reinstall those libraries.
