Actually it was relatively painless. I've become obscenely familiar with lynx in that short amount of time, but other than that, it was worth it. The only part I hated was waiting. No no no, not what your thinking, I have a 1.5 Mbps Cable modem, downloading didn't take that long. Compiling XFree, Gnome, OpenGL, ect. was what sucked most! But hey, if it makes my software more stable and faster, it's worth the wait. I would suggest Gentoo for anyone with a moderate understanding of Linux. It rox so far!
