trouble with burner

My pioneer-106 burns regular cd´s perfectly, but when i try and burn DVD´s i get this error message, i´ve tried two different brands of DVD. Memorex DVD+R and TDK DVD+RW, but i get the same errors on both, the only thing that is different is that the error can come when 3500MB is burned or when 1764MB, it seems so random.

I´ve tried with driveropts=burnfree both on and off, no difference.
Im using cdrecord-proDVD and have put in the key for it also.
Im using 2.4 kernel and my distro is Slackware.
The command for cdrecord-proDVD (which i renamed to dvdrecord) is: dvdrecord dev=0,0,0 -v -eject /home/jaak/file.iso

I assume this is a software error since burning normal cd´s works just fine.

have you tried another image file ?
or anything else that you could burn to the dvd ?
or do you keep using the same file ?

i would guess that you only tried the one file and different media, and not the other way around ... ?

yea, thats true...ill give it shot but i doubt it will work

i just wonder how one file can work on one media, and not others aswell....seems quite odd to me
