Trouble with audio codec

Hi there,

I'm having trouble playing an avi file. The video works fine, but I have no audio. Other files play sound, so it's no driver problem but (I figure) an audio codec I haven't installed. But how do I find out which codec I need?
I run Mandrake 9.2 with ALSA and use xine 0.9.23 as video player.

Thanks for answers
Dare
