Trouble viewing .php on local apache server using Mozilla

I am trying to use the program Web AimSniff, and for with what you are supposed to do is set up a local web server (in my case apache) and then point your browser to the location of AimSniff's index.php on this server. I have places the necessary files in my apache document root, but when I try to view:

http://localhost/was/index.php

Then Mozilla tells me it does not know how to view file type
"application/x-httpd-php"

It doesn't seem to have any trouble with .php files on the web, but it doesn't like my local one for some reason.

Any suggestions?

Thanks much,

Jeremy Davis pedersen

Sounds like you dont have php installed correctly on your server.

Most have packages for download or on your install media...

I am using debian. I have installed the apache server version 1.3.33 using the debian apt-get utility.

If I need to install php, how do I do so?
