Trouble installing VMWare Player 12.5.3 on Linux Mint 18.1
 
Hello everyone,

I am trying to install VMware player 12.5.3.
But I get these warnings:

VMware Player installs but I can only see the File menu item.

I tried:

sudo apt-get install --reinstall gtk2-engines
sudo apt-get install gkt2-murrine-engine:i386
Anyone any ideas?

It doesn't address all your problems, but the second command that you tried, sudo apt-get install gkt2-murrine-engine:i386, is a good idea but you have the t and and the k transposed.
