I have been trying to compile Sablotron 1.0.2 on a Mandrake box with no success. The expat parser compiled and installed without a hitch. The expat libraries are now in /usr/local/lib/ and yet even with the prefix set to this directory, configure can't find expat.

I have the source for both in /usr/local/src/ in their respecive directories.

I need to get XSLT support up and running on this machine as soon as possible. Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated. Be gentle I'm not a CLI vet. Thanks.

So if you're saying that everything installed correctly, maybe the package is a alpha/beta/corrupt but I don't think it is. Anyways, can you post the install.log from the program?

As I understand it expat is supposed to be compiled and installed first. Which is what I did. That succeeded. What didn't succeed is running ./configure for Sablotron. This is what I got:
