1. Re-Install Boot loader (thats what gives me the error message about the boot message) 2. Restore WIndows Boot Loader 3. Mount your partitions under /mnt 4. Go to console 5. Reboot 6. Doc: what's addressed by this Rescue?
SonKun....I have RedHat 9.....and haven't used Mandrake after version 8.2......but i can just try and suggest you ideas.....i am not sure if it will work....but i guess...i can at least try to provide u some new idea...

Now, as nothing seems possible at this moment, you can choose option 3 ......or 4 ......and somehow reach the login prompt....

log-in as root and give the command

grub-install

If that does not help then check out these links provided by another of our well wisher 'Moses'.......

"The only other thing I have is a Knoppix-STD disc. Will that work?"

I doubt it but it will not hurt anything to try it.

What if I were to reinstall mandrake, then I can set up lilo when you do it anyway when installing mandrake. The only thing is I dont know how I would get it working anyway becaus I dont know the options. Like where is Red Hat 9s image? Where is Mandrakes Image? And stuff like that. If you might be able to tell me what I could tell lilo. I have XP on hda1 redhat on hda3 and mandrake on hda6.

This should work.

"Like where is Red Hat 9s image? Where is Mandrakes Image?"

I am not familiar with the Mandrake install. You probably tell it the partition name, for example: /dev/hda3

In any case, if you can get Mandrake to create a lilo boatloader that boots into your new Mandrake Linux then you can boot into your new Linux system and reconfigure lilo to boot all 3 OSs.
