You may just need to add ubuntu to the grub config. https://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/...onfigfile.html might help.

It seems that Fedora failed to correctly write Ubuntu into the grub.conf file (I'm suprised to learn that).

It's an easy fix.

Boot into Fedora, then mount the partition that holds Ubuntu. Go to Ubuntu's /boot/grub directory, and open menu.lst (probably have to be root to access that file) and copy the Ubuntu entry (just the 2 or 3 lines for Ubuntu; not the whole file).

Close that file and unmount the partition. Go to Fedora'a /boot/grub directory and paste that info into grub.conf (or menu.lst if Fedora uses that; they're the same file with different names).

That should fix the problem. Test it by rebooting and selecting Ubuntu.
