Transmission Client and Transmission-Daemon on Ubuntu
 

Hi there
After realising that Mandriva went bust almost a year ago I decided to port my file server to Ubuntu. Everything working fine, but I'm just trying to get my head round Transmission. The Daemon is running on port 9091, and I can access and download through the web client. I can also download through the desktop clients on Ubuntu (LXDE) and Windows 7 on the same LAN.

However torrents I add through the Windows client show up in the web interface, but not on the Ubuntu client. Torrents I add to the Ubuntu client don't appear in the web interface, even if I go into preferences and click "open web client". But all of them download correctly into the \Downloads folder.

Can someone talk me through what settings I may need to alter in which copies of settings.json in which folder?
