Transferring mail from kmail to outlook
 

help me please

I use suse 9.1 and kmail as my email client.

I want to transfer my emails from kmail to outlook (i.e. export them to outlook).


I tried copying the mail folder in the directory $Home and tried saving it onto my other partition but I get an error that the files cannot be copied onto another partition. The files get copied only onto the linux partition / fat32. What to do now.


My main aim is to transfer all the mail's from kmail to outlook express.

Could you suggest an alternative as Kmail format and outlook express format's are both different.

i don't think directly from kmail, but from a pop server, you could download them to outlook. otherwise i would try searching the web, there are directions for exporting from thunderbird to outlook. see if thunderbird can import kmail then export from thunderbird to outlook.
