Too many MySQL daemons started: Fedora
After installing MySQL 4 under Fedora 1 on a Xeon-based system (single processor), I have this strange problem. "mysqld_safe" spawns 10 (ten!) mysqld processes instead of the usual one process. Actually, from the 'ps -ef' list it looks like mysqld_safe actually starts one which starts the others.
This processor supports SMP - perhaps this has something to do with it??
Thanks!
