tomcat - eclipse
hi
i use suse 10 i have java 1.5 eclipse 3.1 tomcat 5.5 when i go to preference -> server -> Installed Server Runtime Environnement, i click add, select tomcat and add folder usr/share/tomcat5 eclipse said me The Tomcat installation directory is not correct. It does not point to a valid Tomcat installation. any idea? |
Maybe it only supports tomcat 4.X
|
if i check: https://cours.ele.etsmtl.ca/academiq...2EEWebApp.html they support some tomcat release....
|
Are you sure your tomcat base directory is usr/share/tomcat5 . My friends use eclipse 3.1 and they said that it supports tomcat 5.5 .
|
if i let search eclipse to find server runtime... i said it to search: /....
it don't find nothing |
Sorry for bumping this old thread, but has anyone found a soloution to it?
I try to add an server runtime environment to Eclipse WTP under Window -> Preferences -> Server -> Installed Runtimes -> Add... This gives me this window. http://home.hia.no/~froden04/server-env1.jpg I select Tomcat 5, which is the one I have installed and click Next. The problem is, I can't figure out what to put in the «Tomcat installation directory». http://home.hia.no/~froden04/server-env2.jpg Everything I've tried just gives me the same message. |
