Red face to recover linux after windows installation


sir,
iam a B.Tech student. i have dual operating
systems in my system.
Windows XP and Redhat LINUX 9.0. first i have
installed LINUX and then windows XP. the linux
operating system is not accessable. the system is
directly booting to windows XP. what should i do to
get the old installation of my LINUX operating system back.
how can i recover that.

When the Linux installer program ask you to make a boot diskette this is the kind of situation you are supposed to use it for. If you didn't make a boot diskette you can use a LiveCD such as Mepis or Knoppix to access the Linux partition on your hard drive.

You might first want to check if your RH install disk doesn't already come with a boot option that covers this fairly typical occurance

Exclamation recovering redhat linux after windows XP installation

sir
i have no knoppix or any other recovery CD or even an boot floppy. are there any command oriented recovery methods using redhat installation CD.
