Just wondering if anyone has been able to get the TiVo desktop application to run under any version of Wine? If so, which version and using which distribution?

Try usinbg Winetools (an winodws application installer) along with the latest Wine version avalible @ www.wineHQ.com, If you have already done this I apologize for bad advice, I know how annoying it gets getting answers to whatever you just did!

Yes, I have tried that using the latest Knoppix from an HD Install. Which meant having to reinstall Windows to get the TiVo software up and running again. That's why I'm trying to find someone who's had success getting this particular package working. I suspect there's a configuration trick I'm missing somewhere, but have no idea what. And since my family relies on being able to watch their shows, I don't get a great deal of time to experiment.

Had thought of setting up a dual boot situation, but my Windows disk does a full HD recovery, and then I can't shrink the partition without screwing something else up...
