I am dual booting Fedora Core 2 and Windows XP. I have both set up so that they sync with Internet clocks. However, when I set the correct time in one OS and then reboot, the time is incorrect in the other OS, and vice versa.
Any ideas as to why this happens and how it can be corrected? Many thanks in advance.
Do both OS's know the BIOS time setting (local or UTC) and are they set appropriately?
I do not know how to do this for windows.
Linux: There are several places this could be set, depending on your distro.
But /etc/sysconfig/clock seems to be used most, the UTC parameter can be set here.
UTC=<0|1>
UTC : 0 (zero) if hardware clock is _not_ set to GMT time
UTC : 1 (one) if hardware clock is set to GMT time
