thunderbird: unable to connect to mail server
Hi LQers,
I used to use thunderbird for checking my email while i'm on my fedora box. It used to work, but hasn't worked for a couple months. It hasnt been an issue until now. when i attempt to send/recieve email thunderbird responds "could not connect to mail server <mail server>; connection refused" Where can i find more information about why its not connecting. A log somewhere? My sys admin confirmed that the IMAP server is running and even restarted it for me, but still no dice. Looking at the attempted connection over wireshark I see one SYN TCP packet from my box going to mail server, the mail server responds with one RST,ACK TCP packet. That is all. Any help would be nice. |
Fixed. The servers response should have been my 1st clue. IMAP server was F*#$'d
