thunderbird not supporting ssl :(

hello all,

Thank you in advance.
So I've just got my new laptop. I removed vista last night and put on openSuse 11.0rc (which I really like btw). I moved all my stuff from my old laptop which was opensuse 10.3 and xp dual boot, onto a external HD. I then moved all the stuff to my new computer. I placed the thunderbird file into the correct spot and took everything, ie that file called 3lkh45j... whatever. Then I open thunderbird, . Paraphrasing here but ... 'Thunderbird cannot initialize the security system. Check permissions and disk space. Things might not be displayed properly', (which they weren't
I played with the openMPM security thing but I'm pretty sure I disabled that before moving everything over. I check permissions all is ok me and my group 775
chmod -R 775 *
chown -R me:users *

so any help would be great thanks guys

Paul

This is probably what your looking for:

2.1 Create a new profile and copy the old one over it
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Moving_you...ld_one_over_it
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_fo...Linux_and_Unix

I think using the same "3lkh45j... whatever" profile folder/directory name from the old profile to the new is what messed you up.
