thunderbird and yahoo

hi there
i'm using fedora 9 and i use yahoo(usa) for main issue . i want to use thunderbird as my mail agent but it's not working !! maybe i dont enter the mail server's correctly or done something stupid !!
the question is : what is the right config for mail servers and .. for yahoo , and is there any plugin that i have to take care of?

I'm not sure, but I thought yahoo didn't support pop/imap/smtp unless you had a paid subscription? Are you a subscribed user or are you using the free version?

free !! so you mean thunderbird isn't support pop3?!! when i use to work with microsoft windows there is a program called ypops !! it worked with yahoo and free users !! is there any way to add a plugin to thunderbird to use pop3? or it isn,t written yet?!!

Thundebird certainly supports POP3. It also depends on whether your mail service allows it. (Ok I did a quick search, ypops appears to be supported on linux too.) This link shows the configs you must have on your mail client while using ypops. I guess you'd have to download and install the application before you go to the thunderbird configs.
