Thuderbird not responding to extensions and themes

Hello

When I click on 'get more extensions' for Thunderbird, nothing happens.

Any ideas where to start?

Because it's trying to load up your default browser and probably fails to do so.

To install extensions in Thunderbird, you just need to download them from http://update.mozilla.org using your browser (if it's Firefox, right click and then "Save As" otherwise Firefox will try to install the extension to itself), then in Thunderbird, go to "Tools --> Extensions --> Install", select your extension from wherever you saved it, it will install, then restart Thunderbird.

problem is the dictionaries will not install and work that way. that is exactly how the mozilla site tells you how to install extensions and what not, but will not work.

sujestions? one of the tools i loved about thunderbird was the dictionary as i am a horrid speller. i use it more at the office then i do the home, but the linux vs just will not work. i would hate to have to dual boot just for gaining access to a spell checker to send out business e-mail.

I had the same problem. None of the dictionaries in any software I had worked. Go to System/Admin/Language Selection and check the Writing Aids for English. It worked for me, now I have spell check on Office and Thunderbird.
