Thttpd for graphics server

Erm, I am not going to ask anything about installing and configuring thttpd because it is pretty clear from the man.

However, there is one thing I don't quite get.

How do you make thttpd take over images over Apache?

I mean how do I modify the existent web pages and links to their images? Do I set the httpd to a subdomain ie. images.myhosting.net and then use subsequent folders to serve images? How do I prevent Apache to serve images?

I am sorry, this might be an idiotic question for anyone who already uses it, but I still don't get the idea.

Thanks

You will need to set it up on a different port or IP address and then make the URLs of the images point to the thttpd server.

I also want to make a subdomain for images and serve them with thttpd

so in web pages

<img src="images/bla.gif"> becomes <img src="http://images.example.com/bla.gif"> ???

DNS for the subdomain I have to add

subdomain IN A example.com. to the zonefile yes???
