The secrets of cron

I created a script called get and placed it in my home directory. I created a cron file called cronget and this is what I have in it:

5 * * * 0-6 /tmp/get > /tmp/cronerror

I use this command to add it to the cron jobs:

PHP Code:
crontab -u dabeast /home/dabeast/cronget
or

PHP Code:
crontab /home/dabeast/cronget
when I run
PHP Code:
crontab -u dabeast -
is shows

# DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE - edit the master and reinstall.
# (/home/dabeast/cronget installed on Fri Oct 27 00:09:05 2006)
# (Cron version V5.0 -- $Id: crontab.c,v 1.12 2004/01/23 18:56:42 vixie Exp $)
5 * * * 0-6 /tmp/get > /tmp/cronerror

this is what the output should be but I do not understand why is does not work? What am I doing wrong?

I do not understand why you'd expect to be able to execute a script
that you put in your ~home from /tmp ...

Cheers,

I moved my script "get" and my "crontab" file cronget to my home directory. I changed my permissions to 744. Then I simply just

PHP Code:
crontab /home/dabeast/cronget
and it still doesnt work. What next?
