The problem for the intallation of xcrysden!
 

Dear all,

I tried to install the program on Ubuntu. When I run the xcrysden, It gives error message:

/home/user/QE/QE5.0/XCrySDen-1.5.23-bin-semishared/bin/xcrys: Syntax error: Unterminated quoted string

what would be the problem?

Which package did you download ? xc-1.5.23-linux_x86_64-semishared.tar.gz
or xc-1.5.23-linux_x86-semishared.tar.gz ?

Which Ubuntu version ? The command 'cat /etc/issue' will tell.

And which architecture ?
( The command 'uname -m' will reply with i686 or x86_64.)
