getting the opera browser?
 
Hi,

I just installed Libranet (Debian) and it works great so far...
Now i want to connect to the internet so i have setup my network (i think) and now im wondering what i need to do to download the browser opera?

apt-get install opera is not working...??

You've definitely got *some* kind of browser.

If you're running Gnome, you have Galleon, if nothing else. If you're running KDE, you have Konquerer. You may also have Mozilla - I'm not familiar with Libranet. Worst case, you probably have Lynx, a nifty little text-based browser.

You've to install a browser first. Ben Novack was almost correct. But Libranet does not install Galleon, even if you've chosen to install Gnome, for example. You've to install Internet or Network packages. I doubt you can install opera through apt-get. Mainly because opera is not free. Do first:

apt-get update
apt-get install mozilla

That would install you mozilla 1.0 I think. From there it's easy to get Opera, if you really want that one indeed :).
