The Gimp

Have been playing for a few days, one thing seems ominously missing - does it have any equivelent to PhotoShops "pen" tool? I am having some issues drawing freehand and would like some lines to control

it does indeed. it is called 'draw in ink'; and the
tool-icon looks like a fountain-pen.

Hmmm - yup, but that seems to be a freehand tool, not the same at the PS pen tool - is there a way of getting it to draw lines between points?

If you want to draw straight lines, you should be able to hold down a modifier key (SHIFT on mine, but I think it can be customized) to connect the previous point with the next. This works with the airbrush, paintbrush, eraser, and probably others too...

If you want curves and stuff too, then there *is* a pen tool, which looks like a small fountain pen. That's the one that does bezier curves and whatnot.
