Question tetex-bin install error: No alternatives for oxdvi.bin.

I am trying to install the package tetex-bin. I have been trying to apt-get it with the following results:

#apt-get install tetex-bin
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
tetex-bin is already the newest version.
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:
xfonts-scalable libpixman-1-0 type-handling texlive-common xfonts-75dpi
dpkg-dev xfonts-100dpi libgl1-mesa-dri texlive-doc-base make
Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
1 not fully installed or removed.
Need to get 0B of archives.
After unpacking 0B of additional disk space will be used.
Setting up tetex-bin (3.0-30) ...
No alternatives for oxdvi.bin.
dpkg: error processing tetex-bin (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
tetex-bin
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

This is a documented error. I found this post- http://forum.soft32.com/linux2/Bug-4...pict97027.html
I tried doing
#update-alternatives --remove-all oxdvi.bin
which gives me the same error message: No alternatives for oxdvi.bin.

I have also tried removing and re-installing tetex-bin, but I had the same problem.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Cathy
