Terrible FPS with wow using wine

So I just switched my wifes computer over from xp, and got everything running good on Ubuntu 8.04. The only exception to this is wow. On xp, she was getting about 10-15FPS in cities and ~30FPS outside cities with mid level video setting. Now its down to 1-4 in cities and up to 10 frames outside on the lowest video settings.

Here is what we have tried,

Changing the registry in wine
Running in opengl
Changed the congif.wtf

As far as I can tell, everything is working properly. I get a yes for direct rendering and it says that the drivers are working properly. With glxgears she gets about 1000FPS.

Her system is a fresh ubuntu 8.04 install with wine installed by ultamatix and a NVidia geforece4 mx 420.

Thanks for the help

Stew

I'd suggest looking through the winehq user notes on installing and getting the best FPS from WoW. Perhaps you didn't configure properly for opengl and it's using DirectBlechh?

So you tried using these registry keys too:

Code:
[Software\\Wine\\Direct3D] 1221299910
"DirectDrawRenderer"="opengl"
"UseGLSL"="disabled"
"VideoMemorySize"="512"
Memory size is the size of your memory, probably 32.
