terminal run problem


If I boot in root I can run terminal.such as xterm mlterm........
but if i boot in the other user i can run terminal .even the xterm...
i wonder what that hell with my system...
I run gentoo under my powerbook...
before i reinstall the system there have no problem...
but this time it happen..and i don't know what's wrong...

somebody help me ...

¿do you get an error message? ¿what does it say? ¿what kind of user is your other user besides root?
