termcap

Hi there,
My X konsoles donīt have colors. but my ttys can show colorfull programs.
I have installed ncurses. and I think it damaged /etc/termcap and because of this reason I don īt see color in konsole.
Is termcap related to this problem? and If it is true, how can I do to restore termcap?
note that I am uing SuSE linux 9.3 prof.
