TEAC CDR and Mandrake 10

has anyone heard of any problems with these CD burners and mandrake 10? i am running mandrake on a dell inspiron 8200 and i cant get rid of the 2 second gaps in between tracks. i have burned in k3b and in cmd line and both produce gaps. i like mandrake, but if i can't burn seamlessly i'm going back to windoze....

thanks in advance for your help
