tcpview for linux


is there an app like tcpview pro (realtime netstat), but for redhat9? i have been lookin around and have not found anything like this.

if you're just looking for a gui wrapper for netstat, try this.

Nnetstat

but if you're looking for a good packet sniffer, ethereal, mentioned above, is good. you should have tcpdump installed also. if not it should be on your install cds.

thanks guys. yes, i have tcpdump installed and have run it from the terminal. is there a gui for this thing? anyway, i got the Nnetstat and ethereal and am installing them now.

I dl the Nnetstat, which is a perl file, but i'm not able to execute it. i get this error:

[root@localhost appz]# ./Nnetstat.pl &
[2] 17242
[1] Exit 127 ./Nnetstat
[root@localhost appz]# bash: ./Nnetstat.pl: Permission denied

why am i denied permission? i tried running not as root too, and it still gives the same error. i have the latest version of perl installed.
