Question Tar and synchronize

Is it possible to synchronize a .tar file or anyone had a good tip for me?

Do you mean have the same tar on
two machines, or update a remote
tar archive?

/me wonders ...

I want to update en existing tar archive and add new and changed files, i have here one file of 90gig and takes alot time to create the whole tarfile and i wonder if this is possible...

If the archive is compressed -u won't work,
otherwise you should be fine.
