Hey,
I want to tag my mp3s properly. The all have the same file name format and I found some software that could tag it (like Cantus) but I have a couple of questions.
Is there a way to automaticly look on the internet for the music type, the date and everything that is not in my file name ?
My files are like : 01-mark_knopfler-sailing_to_philadelphia ... and I don't know how to automaticly remove the _ when tagging. (Otherwise I get tags with _)
Using a tricky find/sed/cut string could probably do it. You'd have to be skilled in scripting though... Be sure to check freshmeat.net and sf.net there are sometimes people who throw their scripts up on those sites that do things just like this.
Hey,
I've now got the right file names. I just worked out something with Cantus using my directories info to write tags and then the tags to rename the files.
I have now the file format I want, and the right tags. How can I complete them automatically with the date and other infos in freedb that I might not have ?
Thanks
