System Hangs, No Connections Allowed

hi,
I am running red hat enterprise linux advance server 4 on AMD-64 bit server. My oracle 9.2.0.6 is running on this machine from last two months. from last twop weeks i am facing a problem again and again and problem is that my server starts slowing down and down and down and after some time, not oracle connection or telnet connection could be made or i cannot log in to my server locallay and the only solution is to restart the server. To observe it, i have an oper telnet window on my machine connected all the time to server and "top" command running so that i could observe it. When my server starts slowing down till it hangs, i see
"kswapd0" process running in my top command's window and this is on the top of all processes which "top" command shows.
I dont see my processor usage 100 % or near to it, it means no process is eating my processor time and only round about 10% processor is being used by this kswapd0 process.
Can anyone help me finding the problem that why my erver slows down and then hangs and i need to restart it. It doen's happen at regular intervals, it might happen twice a day or could happen once in two days. When server hangs, the red LED of my server is continuously lighting
Any clue?
Regards

I would look at overheating memory modules. Probably a wise idea to increase the size of your swap file as well and even slam in some more RAM.
