hello,

recently installed sysstat package on debian. now i enabled it in /etc/default/sysstat and rebooted the system, all fine, log created for this day "sa11".

but the IP address of my network adapter has changed.
i don't know HOW or WHERE i can change a configuration of switching an IP for sysstat.
WHY is it changing? well maybe for network options, but WHERE can i set WHAT IP it should use?

i usually use DHCP with always the same lease from the router. 192.x.x.x. now it's changed to 169.121.foo.bar

As far as I know sysstat is a system monitoring tool not a network configuration utility. So you may have inadvertedly changed something but that should not be related to installing or using sysstat. What IP address you use depends on the configuration file that drives your dhcpc, pump, dhclient, dhcp-client or whatever else DHCP client you use. Debian uses /etc/network/interfaces.

well it must have been something strange happened or else...
sysstat is running and logging now and ip adress got back to DHCP setting.

all ok.
