sys hang with HDD: lost interrupt after 7 days

Hi,
I have this problem, after 7 days the linux server hang with message "HDD: lost interrupt". I have a Debian Sarge with M/B MS 6309 and 4 HD IDE from 250GB, there is a RAID5 configuration with 4 disks. The LILO boot with parameters append="apm=off acpi=off pci=noacpi", but the problem persist. The problem is begun when I have upgrade from Debian Woody to Debian Sarge and Kernel 2.6.8 to 2.6.17. Could be a hardware incompatibility with obsolete hardware and Kernel/Debian Sarge?
HELP ME!!

Excuse me for bad English
MM

Can you go back to the original software? Hopefully you put the new version on its own partition and left the original system on its own partition. I would try that if you can do it. That will tell you if it is the new software.

Generally I don't upgrade just because there is a new version of something. I wait until I have a really good reason to change the version of software that I am using.
