Synchronizing Application Settings Across Multiple Computers

Hi,

I have a few Linux desktop machines and I'd like to ensure certain application settings stay synchronized, like Firefox bookmarks and Liferea rss feeds, and any preferences in each.

Is there any tool for this? I know of a few tools that synchronize files/folders, but in the case of Firefox and Liferea, it'd be awkward at best since you'd have to sync bookmarks.html and feeds.opml and then import these into the apps, and then manually remove duplicate entries, sort existing entries, etc.

file copy

If u have a central server that the workstation copies the files to that would be best. Maybe run it as a cron job or daemon.

Install Foxmarks on all your computers. Foxmarks will automatically synchronize any changes you make, ensuring your bookmarks and passwords (optional) stay the same everywhere

Is about the only way that actually works, too bad Google stopped supporting their Browser Sync extension.

You might try Sync Google Reader with Liferea | Linux Screw
