Sync problems in Gnome
 

Hi, I'm running RH7.1 with a Samsung 17GLSi monitor, and an ATI Rage Fury VGA, both of which were correctly detected by the installer. When I try to go into Gnome, the only video mode that doesn't seem to throw the monitor into standby mode is 1280x1024, which displays 2 desktops side by side, with large bands going down the screen that seem to be in the wrong place, I think this is a problem with the H-Sync, but for all my playing with it, I can't get it fixed. Anyone got any ideas?
