Hello everyone
I am trying to add the freshrpms repository to synaptic but it keeps adding 'pkglist' to the string specifying the web address. Consequently there is an 404 error because the
http://...freshrpms web address .../pkglist doesn't exist
I looked in Synaptic help, but it didn't really explain.
With the web address for freshhrpms, I notice that packages exist in several places. I am using the following in the repositories dialog box:
URI
http://ayo.freshrpms.net/
Distibution: fedora/linux/5/i386/freshrpms/RPMS/
Sections:
At the moment, I am using the rpm type.
I notice that fedora repositories use the type repomd - does any one know what this means?
Also is the rpmdir type for use with local files? - it doesn't seem to work with a web address.
Is there any way around this or I am I missing something?
I am quite happy using apt or yum from the command line, but it would be nice to use the GUI version.
