synaptic

hello, well i am using mepis and was trying to update the software, i am using version 3.4.3 and it is ok, but has some bugs i am fairly new to this and still do not have version 6.0 because i didnt want to try the betas, since i am new.

the thing is when i press mark updates it tells me that some of the updates cannot be authenticy and that something maliciuos could come true, should i just press ok and go on or is that bad.

also where do i type the apt get things, i know it sounds stupid, but i really ahve no idea??

If you are worried about the authenticity, go to the site and follow the instructions for grabbing the authentication key.

You type apt-get etc in a console or terminal.
