sybase connection through odbc on redhat linux enterprise As4

hi,


how to connect sybase databse ( sybase at sun solaris server) from Redhat enterprise linux AS4??

I know the PHP codings. coding dowloaded from internet.but it is not connecting with sybase. could not connect to sybase server error message is coming.
unix ODBC driver is installed on redhat linux.


wat may be the reason?????
