thanks dude, but I don't have xorg.conf file anywhere in the system :\
these options look familiar from XF86Config, but it didn't work when I tried that :\
what are the options for xkblayout ?
it seems I figured a way to use the commands you mentioned above, but after reading the manual for xfree86 I found this command : setxkbmap -rules xfree86 -model pc105 -layout us,il -option "grp:alt_shift_toggle"
however this did not help me, and the laguage will not switch :\
any other suggestions ?
the funny thing is that I have the fonts, and they DO work cause I can see the other language when using Licq.
but I can't type it, wth ?
Thse are the languages you want to use (in my example: english, german, greek)
The "XKbOptions" are key combination used to toggle between the languages (in this case alt-shift)
I guess that the same thing does the setxkbmap command.
I have to switch between english, german and persian (farsi, arabic fonts)........ but haven't yet figured out a way to do this either. Every little bit of help would be highly appreciated :-)
