If you are using KDE, power up Control Panel --> Regional & Accessibility
-->Keyboard Shortcuts --> At the tab Global Shortcuts under the tab Shortcut Scheme scroll down and you will find the option for Keyboard - Switch to Next Keyboard Layout.
From there you can check the radio button Custom and then the shortcut button on the right choosing your own shortcut.
