SWAT install Redhat 9

Fresh install of Redhat 9.

I would like to use SWAT but can't find any files (locate swat) referencing swat. I noticed that I'm missing /etc/xinet.d/swat file

Where / what do I "upgrade" in Redhat to get that feature installed so that I can eventually use.

Do I need to download latest Samba and install?

Help would be appreciated.

http://www.megaloman.com/~hany/RPM/samba-swat.html

dl it and #rpm -ivh samba-swat............. as root

make sure it is running after install and point your browser to 127.0.0.1:901

IMHO, i would stay away from swat. I have found the GUI to be far more difficult than the config file. Just open the /etc/samba/smb.conf file in a text editor and make some changes.

also, you can go to the accessories-add/remove packages in your menu to have it installed/uninstalled from your RH9 cd's
