Swaret and Slackware

After downloading Swaret (package management for slackware that takes care of the dependencies)
and downloading gnome with it, i realized that for some stupid reason it removed the GTK image-
loaders (/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.2.0/loaders/libpixbufloader-png-so for example), and as the old win32
geek i am i knew that you have to be smarter then to OS so i looked around and found that all
the needed image-loaders where in /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.4.0/loaders/ so i just copied all the
shared libs and now Gnome and XFCE seems to be working fine, HOWEVER KDE is totaly
screwed up, i can't even run konqueror!

Ill look around and se if i can fix this but PLEASE how hard can it be? Compilers and IDEs
should have some sort of lock to prevent complete idiots from using it, maybe questions like "how
many planets are there in the solar system" (and yes this would prevent all KDE developers from
writing anything, thats the meaning of it ).

I started with 9.1, and then I've been kept -current with swaret. I've even managed to surgically remove Dropline Gnome with it - on three computers. It is reputedly difficult to do that, so I was quite happy

Hmmm, thats why you don't have any problems with Swaret,
when i install software with swaret i see that it downloads
9.1 stuff ,that is one of the most stupid things with Linux,
different distros have different file structure so program packages
most be custom made for different distros. Apparently even
different versions of the same distro cause compability
problems, STUPID!!

serious benchmarking on your sons PC!

Swaret has worked flawlessly for me over the last couple of years (from slack 9.0). Sometimes I wonder why one application seems to work fine on one system but can cause problems on another.
