SuSE, NT, XP & AS/400 Network

Want to add my new SuSE 7.3 machine to my existing windows network.

To access the machine via Internet - Do I need any specific software or settings?

To access via Intranet - Do I need something like Samba?

:newbie: Thanks You

It depends. First decide which way you'd like to use to access your machine.
Internet: I recommend ssh to get to the machine. You may also need WWW or ftp, but it's your choice. If the machine don't have static Internet IP, you need to assign it one and forward the ports (or if you don't have an IP for the machine, but want to access it, forward only ssh port).

Intranet: Like Internet, but you can also use Samba (to access/add Windows shares).
