A beginner question: I am running SuSE 10.1 and I have installed the GNOME development package. I can start Anjuta but when I try to run the Anjuta Tutorial or Anjuta Manual from the Help menu nothing happens. Am I missing some dependencies? I did a search in the Forum and could not find any answers to my question. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's interesting that you mention this because I have now noticed that the help options on some of my other applications are not working either. Hopefully someone will point us in the right direction for a solution.

Yep thats true.. I found instances where the "Suse help" does not respond at all.. I click on the icon & see it on the task bar but after a few seconds the its balnk. The help did not open at all...
Somebody will have to look into this..
I tried khelpcenter from a terminal window (su) and here is the output:
Xlib: connection to "127.0.0.1:1.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified
kdeinit: Can't connect to the X Server.
kdeinit: Might not terminate at end of session.

kded: cannot connect to X server 127.0.0.1:1.0
kded: ERROR: KUniqueApplication: Registering failed!
kded: ERROR: Communication problem with kded, it probably crashed.

Hmmm... I don't know much about those errors. I would try running online update, and if there is a new version of Khelpcenter, install it. Otherwise, try re-installing khelpcenter. Maybe that will fix it.
