SuSe Install - LV, RAID5, or both?

I am gathering that I've a lot to learn when trying to partition hard drives in the Linux environment.

First, is it possible to have drives set up for raid5 and logical volume use?, if not, then I would prefer raid5.

Second, What would the steps be when using yast, or mdadm?

I hope this is not too much to ask.

Thanks for any resposes.
